Saint Conrad grew up in Parzham, Bavaria in the mid 1800's. In 1852 Conrad joined the Capuchins and was assigned to the friary in Altoetting. He was assigned the important job of porter, which made his brothers jealous. However it became clear he was well suited for the job by displaying extraordinary patience and holiness. Conrad also devoted alot of attention to caring for and promoting the aid to neglected children.
